Our Team
Our educators believe that everyone is a transformative being with individual consciousness of the real world and can be approached through a pedagogy formed by acting dialogically and understanding empathetically.
The teacher is of course an artist, but being an artist does not mean that he or she can make the profile, can shape the students. What the educator does in teaching is to make it possible for the students to become themselves.

Liangliang Gao
Art Educator
As an artist, I like to capture people’s movements, pets and plants in the surroundings with watercolour and ink pen. The observation and sketch collections from life inspire me to create artwork for illustration books. Meanwhile, to explore the connection between eastern and western arts, I keep practicing Chinese calligraphy and Gongbi painting as a part of my artistic practice.
Art education happens at any time on any subject…
By including research in the class, artmaking itself becomes a learning process. Therefore, children are the essential participants who engage their own experience, emotion, intellect, knowledge and culture towards self-awareness, communication and creative expression in an aesthetic way.
Children learn from meaningful play. The seed of lines, colours, forms and compositions are rooted in children’s hearts by learning how to observe and appreciate masterpieces. In my studio, children are allowed to play and try out creative ideas of drawing, painting, sculpture and installation while following educational instructions. The development of artistic ability comes along with cognitive and language developments. Every learning objective is designed for a certain age.
